How much trash do you produce in just one week? YouTuber Lucie Fink combed through her past week’s worth of garbage and was shocked to see how much trash she generated.

Lucie Fink sorted through her garbage to see just how much trash she created in a week.

Fink hosts a YouTube channel, Try Living with Lucie, in which she documents five days trying something new.

Recently, Fink took on a five-day challenge to produce no trash. To help her get started, she enlisted the help of Lauren Singer, a zero-waste guru and blogger at Trash is for Tossers. Singer has managed to produce only a mason jar’s worth of trash in the last three years.

In Fink’s video below, Singer told her that there are four must-haves for adopting a zero-waste lifestyle: a glass jar, reusable silverware, reusable napkins and a tote bag. Then, Singer guided Fink through her weekly routine, including ordering coffee, grocery shopping and going out to eat.
